Woman killed after being struck in North Side crosswalk
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A woman in her 70s is dead after she was hit by a car while crossing the street Tuesday morning on the North Side.
The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. near Thousand Oaks Drive and Uhr Lane.
Police say the woman suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead in an ambulance while being taken to a hospital.
The driver stopped and tried to help the woman and is cooperating with investigators. Police said no criminal charges are expected at this time.
