SAPD: Teen shot while walking home from store on Southwest Side
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A teenager was shot overnight while walking home from a store on San Antonio’s Southwest Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday near Bynum and Briggs avenues, not far from Southwest Military Drive and New Laredo Highway.
Police said the teen was walking home when a blue truck pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking him once in the leg.
The shooters drove away. The teen continued toward his home and called for help. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
The teen told investigators he knew the suspects from school.
The shooting remains under investigation.
